Hey,
They are already talking about twilight's third instalment... Eclipse.
There is a rumor going around that Chris Weitz's brother is going to be the director...
Does anyone know if this is true?
If you do find an answer or have something to say just post it.
All I can say is OH, NO!!!!! Lets just hope Chris Weitz does not goof this, if he does that won't give his brother much of a chance to prove himself to the Twilight fans.
Can anyone tell me why, with the Harry Potter movies and now the Twilight movies they are always changing the director? I liked what Catherine Hardwicke did with Twilight, but this new guy does not seem to have that good of a standing with me. What do you think?

The reason why these franchises often switch directors is because most directors do not have the energy to do more than one or two films.
Catherine Hardwicke was given the chance to direct New Moon, but decided that she could not tell the story she wanted to tell in the ammount of time the studio was giving her. So she turned down the offer.
Alfonso Cuaron was given the chance to direct HP 4 after doing HP 3, but decided that he would not have the time to do because he would still be doing post production work on #3.
Andrew Adamson, who directed Narnia 1 and 2 was ready for a change after doing two movies in the franchise and moved back to a producing decision for #3.
And those are just three examples.
Thanks for a very thorough response to Elenatintil. I am fascinated by all things film related!
